• TV-Like Picture Quality: Supports industry standard H.264 for improved picture quality at lower bandwidth speeds. For example, a videoconference call made over a 384 Kbps connection on ISDN or IP exhibits the picture quality of a 768 Kbps conference call. Calls can be placed on an IP network at speeds up to 1 Mbps. Network congestion problems or bandwidth limitations can also be overcome due to the lower bandwidth demand of H.264 coding.

• Built-In Quality of Service (QoS): Designed to allow better performance while conferencing on the public Internet or LAN/WAN connections, two advanced technologies are built-in to help maintain picture quality for varying levels of network performance.

1. Adaptive Rate Control (ARC) automatically adjusts picture quality to changing network conditions.

2. Auto Repeat reQuest (ARQ) avoids picture collapse by recovering and resending lost packets buffered in the encoder.

• AES Encryption: To help maintain the security and integrity of a conference call made on the public Internet or on a LAN/WAN connection, Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) offers protection on the audio, video and data (from the optional PCS-DSB1 data solution device) information. EAS is an industry standard used by both government and private industry as a key means for providing information security and to protect sensitive information from unauthorized access or modification.

• Data Sharing: Allows presentation of video from a DVD player or other auxiliary source. It can also be used in conferences that use data sharing and whiteboard streams from a PCS-1, and receive and display both the presenters' video and the data stream simultaneously.

• Flexible Installation: The compact and stylish configuration, with built-in microphone, gives the flexibility to install the videoconference solution in a variety of applications, including room systems, roll-abouts, set-tops, and executive offices.

• Dual Monitor Support: Able to receive dual stream and display on dual monitors. For example, both the far side presenter and the data being presented can be viewed on two separate monitors.

• Memory Stick® Support: Data sharing in a videoconference is easier than ever with Memory Stick support, allowing presentation documents and photos to be displayed in 4CIF format without connecting to a computer. The displayed graphics can even be transferred to remote sites. A private phonebook can be created to take advantage of the auto-dialing function of the Memory Stick media.
